My main focus is the application of satellite Geodesy in studying tectonics and earthquake cycles. GNSS has proved to be the best technique to continuously monitor earth surface displacements in time scales of seconds to decades. The wide temporal range of observations in addition to precision and cost effectiveness are the factors to apply the technique in observing surface displacements, and as such, determining rigid plate addition as well as strain accumulation rates with spatial and temporal variations.

We apply GNSS derived displacement field to constrain deformation models, either in pairs and groups of plate boundaries, or in regions of seismic activities. Our observations help us better understand crustal structure and rheology in the areas of studies.

Apart from precise geodetic deformation monitoring, I apply GNSS, laser scanner and UAVs to generate high resolution earth surface models of features as topography, fault scarps, outcrops, etc.
